About YCI
Youth Cooperation for Ideas (YCI) was registered as an international Non-Governmental Organization in August 2018 (reg.No.FORR137221180NB)/Permit No.FORP0001180NB based in Kampala, Uganda. We are dedicated to empowering urban refugee communities. Our mission is to equip refugee youth with information, knowledge, appropriate techniques, and skills that foster a positive attitude and drive sustainable change. We work in urban refugee communities where youth are grappling with drug and substance abuse, unemployment, and mental health challenges. Through our drug rehabilitation, vocational skills training, English language lessons, and mental health awareness, we aim to create a safe and supportive environment where refugee youth can rebuild their lives and contribute meaningfully to society.

TESTEMONIALS
"As a refugee and addict, I felt invisible. Youth Cooperation for Ideas saw me, giving me a chance to train in electronics repair. Now, I own a shop and mentor others struggling with addiction. The program helped me recover and taught me to lead."
